CH, BigSinclairs Barbarossa of TruTails comes to us from Petra Viestenz, BigSinclairs Cattery in Wildeshausen, Germany. Rossa has the extreme type, long muzzle, tall ears, and long, long body that I desired. His eye color is wonderful and his red is a very deep mahogany color. In addition, he has a very diverse pedigree.

His sire, Calimero, is a large cameo (red silver) tabby male, his dam, Shoshoni, was bred by my friend Kirsten of Hunkpapa's Maine Coons. It was Kirsten who introduced me to Petra and helped arrange for Rossa to come to the USA.

One of the many things I was excited about when adding Rossa to our breeding program was his potential to carry both dilute and non-agouti. I was also excited about adding the red gene... at about the same time we also added Rita ~ whew, a lot of red at TruTails all of a sudden! Good thing we love them... and it was wonderful to discover Rossa is a typical 'red male' - he LOVES people and is a very outgoing, confident boy who would rather be on a lap than any place else he can think of.

We are very excited about our first litter with Rossa ~ which will be our last litter with Britney ~ we're hoping we get some really nice kittens from this breeding which would enable us to keep Britney's lines in our future breeding program. Unfortunately this is the only TruTails litter Rossa produced. He is retired now and living happily as a pet, thank you Lopez Family for giving Rossa a loving home!
